We’d love you to be part of The Great Get Together, one of the biggest community events the UK has ever seen.
Below are assembly resources (these include the short video about Jo and The Great Get Together below) available to download for pre-school, primary, secondary and sixth-form as well as a teacher guidance document written by the PSHE Association.
The Great Get Together is a brilliant reason to do something in your school to encourage community cohesion and celebrate diversity. Schools up and down the country are already planning their get together events and assemblies: in Jo’s home town of Batley in Yorkshire schools from different communities are coming together for a big sports day and picnic. Meanwhile hundreds of students in Birmingham will be holding assemblies followed by a picnic with students from the two schools, from a range of faiths and backgrounds.
We’d love to hear what your school is planning – please fill in this form to register your event. And if you’d like to speak to someone from The Great Get Together, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
