Over the past three years communities up and down the country have come together to celebrate the life of Jo Cox MP. We’ve seen thousands of community events taking place, with people around the country showing that we have more in common.
This year’s Great Get Together will be different from previous years. This year, though we can’t get together, we can still connect together. We’ll be doing that by asking you to celebrate the power of community. That could be something in your street or neighbourhood, like a cuppa over the hedge with your neighbour or a sing-a-long in your street, or it could be something online or on the phone, like calling that friend you’ve not spoken to in ten years! Here are some ideas to get you started.
Everyone’s safety is our priority so please ensure anything you plan adheres fully to the social distancing guidelines laid out in the country you are in.
Whatever the size of your activity, whether it’s big or small, we’d love to know how you are celebrating your community. Join in here.
