The Piece Hall

The Piece Hall has teamed up with Calderdale Valley of Sanctuary to host a free one-day community event to mark The Great Get Together and Refugee Week. The event takes place at The Piece Hall in the heart of Halifax on Saturday 19 June from 11.30am, and encourages the West Yorkshire, wider Yorkshire community and beyond to come together enjoy the free fresh food cooked on site and to soak up the atmosphere with free live music, poetry and creative family activities. After many months of social distancing and staying indoors we want to give people a chance to interact in a fun yet safe way with The Great Get Together picnic with fun activities for all. n various areas in Almondbury. Please bring your picnic blankets and some delicious food, simple outdoor games, maybe even a guitar and a smile. We are hoping that weather will be good that weekend but if it's not than instead of a picnic we invite you to a singing in rain walk - you don't have to sing though :) please wear some bright colours to make this event even better.
